OutSystems Expands Executive Leadership Team Adding Former Splunk Executive

Bart Fanelli Joins the Low-Code Leader as Senior Vice President, Sales, Strategy and Acceleration

OutSystems, provider of the number one low-code application development platform, today announced the addition of veteran technology executive, entrepreneur, and author Bart Fanelli to its leadership team. Fanelli, an award-winning executive, will lead the OutSystems global go-to-market strategy and sales organization continuing to fuel the company’s already impressive growth.

Fanelli’s appointment comes at an exciting time for OutSystems. In 2018, the company posted a greater than 60 percent increase in annual recurring revenue, which was its third consecutive yearly increase of more than 50 percent. It signed up hundreds of new customers in 2018, establishing a banner year for OutSystems that included securing a $360 million investment round from KKR and Goldman Sachs, valuing the company at well over $1 billion.

As an award-winning executive and leading author, Fanelli joins OutSystems with over two decades of successful leadership at tech giants such as Splunk and BMC Software. Past roles include sales leadership, sales best practices, global field operations, and global field success including market specialization and value consulting. Bart’s sales execution and operational mindset designed and built a global value-based organization that became the backbone of the Splunk sales engine helping them grow from $60 million to over $1.5 billion in annual revenue during his tenure. His most recent book “The Success Cadence: Unleash Your Organization’s Rapid Growth Culture,” which he co-authored with Sandler Training CEO David Mattson and Tom Schodorf, a board member with several firms including OutSystems and Rapid7, defines an innovative model to rapidly grow and scale organizations.
